The 2018 college football season has yet to begin for most teams, but Florida Atlantic University and its supporters are already casting their vote for Heisman Trophy.
Junior running back Devin Singletary is expected to be one of the Heisman favorites this year, as he rushed for 1,920 yards and scored an eye-popping 33 total touchdowns in his sophomore season a year ago. Last month, FAU paid for two billboards alongside the highway that read “Heisman in Paradise” and feature a photo of Singletary.

With FAU opening its season with a huge game against No. 7 Oklahoma on Saturday, the Owls are now also selling merchandise with “Heisman in Paradise” logo.

Players from smaller schools need all the help they can get to receive Heisman consideration, so it’s no surprise FAU is working overtime to get Singletary’s name out. If the running back somehow eclipses his numbers from 2017, he will certainly be in the discussion.
