“Words cannot express how thankful I am for what these last 3 years has [sic] brought. It has been an unbelievable honor and privilege to play for the university. It has given me memories that will last a lifetime,” said Bowers.
Bowers showed his appreciation for his family, teammates, and the Georgia faithful for their unwavering support. The 21-year-old also credited coaches Kirby Smart and Todd Hartley for helping him grow both as a player and person.
In his three seasons playing for Georgia, Bowers developed into arguably the best tight end in college football.
Bowers led the Bulldogs this season in receiving yards (714), receptions (56), and receiving touchdowns (6) despite playing just 10 games due to ankle issues. He ended his tenure in Athens with 2,538 receiving yards on 175 catches with 26 total touchdowns.
The Georgia star is a consensus first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Pro Football Focus ranked Bowers as the 6th best prospect in their most recent big board.
