Georgia WR George Pickens to miss half of SEC Championship for fight
The Georgia Bulldogs will be without one of their best receivers for the first half of the SEC Championship Game due to automatic discipline.
George Pickens got into a fight with defensive back Tre Swilling in the third quarter of the Bulldogs’ win over the Yellow Jackets. The fight resulted in Pickens’ ejection from the game.

Pickens will have to sit out the first half of the SEC Championship Game unless the decision is somehow changed and overturned.
I checked with @FOXSports rules expert Dean Blandino. #UGA WR George Pickens will miss the first half of SEC champ game after getting throw out today for fighting. For a second fighting penalty in same season you miss entire next game.

Pickens had a 41-yard touchdown catch in the game. He also did not play to start the game, likely due to some team discipline.
