James Franklin will be staying put, this according to James Franklin himself.
Amidst rumors this week that Texas A&M could make a run at him should they part ways with Kevin Sumlin at season’s end, the Penn State head coach reaffirmed his commitment to the Nittany Lions in a tweet on Friday morning.

Franklin, who has coached Penn State since 2014, certainly has reason to stay after building the program back into a state of respectability over that span. He led them to the Big Ten title and a Rose Bowl berth last season and now has them at a perfect 6-0 in 2017 with some truly special talent on his roster.
As for Sumlin, he very well could be gone after the 2017 season especially if some at the College Station get their way. But it doesn’t look like Texas A&M has much of a chance of poaching Franklin away from Penn State in any case.
