Josh Rosen will be undergoing surgery in the near future, according to a teammate.
According to the LA Times’ Ben Bolch, UCLA quarterback Mike Fafaul said after Thursday’s loss at Colorado that Rosen will have shoulder surgery next week.

Rosen is UCLA’s first-string quarterback, but he has missed the team’s past three games and part of the fourth — all losses for the Bruins — due to injury. UCLA head coach Jim Mora initially said it was a nerve issue, but then he later recanted and said that wasn’t the case.
As of last week, Mora was publicly saying he was counting on Rosen returning during the season, though no timetable was ever placed on the sophomore’s recovery. Then Rosen attempted to throw passes over the weekend, which didn’t go well. It wasn’t until Thursday that reports said Rosen was out for the season.
The prized QB apparently underwent an MRI before it was determined he was done for the year:

Rosen finishes the season with 1,915 yards, 10 touchdown passes and five interceptions.
His shoulder surgery is significant not only because it calls into question how ready he will be for next season, but it also could raise medical questions for NFL teams considering him when the draft comes around. Rosen is projected as a potential No. 1 overall pick.
