This should not come as a surprise… but I’m hearing David Beaty is out as Head Coach at Kansas. Look for an announcement in the next 24 hours.

Beaty has been on the hot seat seemingly for years. It looked like he was coaching week-to-week after an early-season loss to FCS Nicholls State, but he followed it by coaching Kansas to their first road win since 2009 and then their first win streak of any sort since 2011. Ultimately, though, the record doesn’t lie. Beaty has just six wins in three-plus seasons at Kansas, and he’s never won more than one game in Big 12 play. Someone else will be tasked with trying to revive the program.
