Jalon Daniels got the last word with Warren Sapp.
Sapp is in his first year as an assistant on Colorado’s coaching staff. The senior quality control analyst spoke on “Thee Pregame Show” during the week about Kansas’ offense ahead of Saturday’s game between the Buffaloes and Jayhawks.
He was asked about Daniels, who is Kansas’ quarterback.

“Oh, we got ourselves a little jitterbug back there,” Sapp said of Daniels.
Sapp continued to give his scouting report on Daniels.
“5’11”, good speed … a challenge,” Sapp said.
Though Sapp lauded Daniels’ speed and was complimentary of the quarterback overall, calling him a “jitterbug” was taken as a slight.

Fast forward to Saturday, where Daniels went 14/21 for 189 yards and a touchdown, while rushing for 72 yards. He was asked after the 37-21 win over CU about Sapp’s comments.
Daniels returned serve.
“Not bad for a jitterbug,” Daniels said.

Deion Sanders pointed to physicality as the biggest reason for Kansas’ win over Colorado. Sapp insulting Kansas’ quarterback certainly did not help matters for the Buffs.
