It has been less than two weeks since Texas Tech decided to part ways with Kliff Kingsbury, and the former head coach has already landed a job with one of the top college football programs in the country.
Bruce Feldman of The Athletic reported on Tuesday that Kingsbury has agreed to a deal with USC. The Trojans recently fired offensive coordinator Tee Martin, which paved the way for them to add Kingsbury to their staff.

Kingsbury had received interest from multiple teams at both the collegiate and pro levels, but USC should provide him with a great opportunity. The school made the controversial decision to stick with Clay Helton as head coach following a disappointing season, and Kingsbury’s experience with coaching quarterbacks should be a big help for JT Daniels.
We know of at least one NFL team that discussed hiring Kingsbury in some capacity, but working as USC’s offensive coordinator should be a great stepping stone for the 39-year-old on his way back to landing another head coaching job.
