Kliff Kingsbury is out as head coach of the Texas Tech Red Raiders, according to a report.
KENS 5 sports director Joe Reinagel reported Saturday after Texas Tech’s 35-24 loss to Baylor that Kingsbury would not be retained as head coach for 2019.
Im hearing from a reliable source that Kliff Kingsbury is out at Texas Tech.

This does not come as a huge shock. The Red Raiders finished 5-7 and missed out on a bowl game in Kingsbury’s sixth season at the helm. His career record sits at 35-40, and he’s only been to three bowls in six years. He’s only won more than six games twice, and not since 2015.
If one report is to be believed, the Red Raiders already have a replacement in mind for Kingsbury.
