LSU LB Devin White: UCF could not hang in SEC
LSU star linebacker Devin White continued to be critical of UCF after beating them in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl on Tuesday.
The Tigers beat the Knights 40-32 to spoil UCF’s attempt at a second straight undefeated season. After the game, White was asked about UCF’s physicality and said he didn’t think the Knights could hang in the SEC week-in and week-out.

Tigers quarterback Joe Burrow was asked about UCF’s physicality and said it didn’t compare to the SEC.
Joe Burrow also asked if UCF was one of the more physical games: "We play in the SEC every week, so it doesn't really compare." #LSU https://t.co/PQTsBKJ02C

As if all that weren’t enough, LSU athletic director Joe Alleva laughed at a question about UCF’s physicality.
A reporter asked if UCF was one of the more physical teams #LSU has played this year.
Joe Alleva, standing off to the side, audibly laughed

So there you have it: LSU is convinced that UCF is not on their level, even though UCF calls themselves national champs, which is something White thought was embarrassing.
UCF brought so much attention to themselves for their national champion claims that LSU seemed highly motivated to prove them wrong.
