Mike Gundy was furious over conference call question about haircut
Mike Gundy is probably used to his hair being a topic of conversation, but that does not mean the Oklahoma State coach wants to discuss it as he prepares for a big game against Kansas State.
During a Big 12 conference call on Monday, Mark Rosner of The Associated Press jokingly asked Gundy if there is any truth to the rumors that late OSU booster T. Boone Pickens willed him a gift card to have his mullet chopped off. Gundy was not amused at all.

“Don’t hurt the real journalism world,” Gundy said. “It’s jackasses like you that cause problems. They shouldn’t even let you call in. You want to talk football? We’ll talk football. If you want to talk idiotic social media, you need to go do something with a college kid.”
Some people felt Gundy overreacted, but he did not back down during his scheduled press conference later in the day. He told the media they should all be offended that Rosner is wasting their time.

Pickens, who was one of the most powerful boosters in college athletics, died earlier this month at age 91.
Gundy is known as much for his mullet as he is for his fiery personality, so you never know what you’re going to get from him when he interacts with the media. Still, his reaction to the haircut question was nothing compared to his most famous rant.
