Eli Drinkwitz was officially introduced as the new head football coach at Missouri on Tuesday, but he clearly has not moved on from his former team just yet.
Drinkwitz confidently spoke with the local media about how his focus at Mizzou will be “to win the right way,” with a goal of capturing the Sun Belt title. Whoops.

Of course, Drinkwitz quickly corrected himself and said the Tigers have a goal of winning the SEC East.
Drinkwitz just completed his first season as a head coach, and he led Appalachian State to a 12-1 record and a thrilling win over UL Lafayette in the Sun Belt Championship Game. The 45-38 victory came just days ago, so you can certainly understand why it was still fresh on Drinkwitz’s mind.
