Notre Dame catches big break ahead of matchup with Georgia Tech
Notre Dame is catching a nice break ahead of their big matchup with Georgia Tech on Saturday.
The 5-1 Fighting Irish are scheduled to face the 5-2 Yellow Jackets at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga. Georgia Tech is having a nice season and has posted conference wins Florida State, Duke and North Carolina. They seemed like a real threat to beat Notre Dame — and they still could — but they would have to do it without their starting quarterback.
Haynes King will miss Saturday’s game and is said to be day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Georgia Tech is in their second full season under Brent Key, who has gone 16-12 as the team’s head coach. The Yellow Jackets’ losses this season have come on the road to Syracuse and Louisville. Notre Dame’s lone loss came against Northern Illinois.
