Notre Dame defensive lineman Julian Okwara was ejected from the team’s game against Virginia Tech on Saturday night for targeting.
Virginia Tech had a 2nd-and-10 situation at the Irish 19 just before halftime. Ryan Willis completed a 12-yard pass to Sean Savoy but was absolutely crushed in the process.
Okwara nailed Willis in the head for a clear targeting violation.

Officials reviewed the play and ejected Okwara. The Hokies scored on the next play and made it 17-16 just before the half.
