It’s been six years since NBA legend Kobe Bryant passed away, but the tributes continue to pour in for the former Los Angeles Lakers star.
Jett Washington, who is a five-star recruit for the Oregon Ducks football team, is the nephew of Bryant. And, Washington posted a photo on his Instagram page revealing that he is wearing No. 24 as his jersey number, the same number Bryant wore for the latter part of his career.
Oregon 5-star freshman Jett Washington will wear #24 with the Ducks, per his IG. The same number as his uncle, the late Kobe Bryant.

Sharia Washington, Bryant’s older sister, is Jett’s mother, and his father played running back at Virginia before being selected by the New England Patriots in the 1994 NFL Draft.
Washington plays safety and he was ranked as the No. 18 overall prospect according to 247Sports rankings.
Washington committed to Oregon last June, picking the Ducks over USC and Alabama, and he played at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas.
Oregon had another strong season, but the Ducks lost to the Indiana Hoosiers in the College Football Playoff. The good news is that quarterback Dante Moore is back for another season, and former Nebraska QB Dylan Raiola is also coming to Eugene after transferring this offseason.
Despite being a freshman, Washington could see playing time, especially considering he is a highly-ranked recruit.
