Oregon State’s Jordan Poyer Has Car Keyed by Fan After BYU Loss

Oregon State has been a major disappointment this season and their fans have every right to be upset. That being said, there is no place in sports for the idiocy that took place over the weekend after the Beavers 38-28 loss to BYU.  Oregon State is 1-5 and off to its worst start in 15 years, but that doesn’t give fans an excuse to go around vandalizing a player’s personal property.  According to The Oregonian, some moronic fan decided to key cornerback Jordan Poyer’s car after the loss and leave a note on the windshield that read “(expletive) you win a game.”

People like the coward that did this and the Auburn tree poisoner must have serious mental issues.  Poyer actually recorded a 55-yard pick six in Saturday’s game and was one of the lone bright spots for the Beavers, but that’s beside the point.  It doesn’t matter if he was personally responsible for all 38 of the Cougars points, scratching a player’s car over a game is completely uncalled for.

Poyer took to Twttier after the game and wrote, “To whoever keyed my car last night saying ‘(expletive) you win a game’ I hope you’re feeling better about yourself.”  Oregon State head coach Mike Riley said “it’s hard to explain behavior like that” but also noted that it was not surprising to him.  Sadly, I have to agree.

Unfortunately, some fans can’t grasp the fact that at the end of the day it truly is just a game.

Chest bump to Dr. Saturday for the disappointing story of d-baggery.
