Report: QB Blake Barnett transferring to USF
Blake Barnett has found a new school as a graduate transfer, according to a report.
WDAE in Tampa’s JP Peterson reports that Barnett has decided to transfer to USF.
Great source telling me Blake Barnett has decided to transfer to USF. @USFFootball hosted him on a visit. He will have 2 years of eligibility and be immediately eligible. He was a 5 star recruit started for Bama in opener replaced by Jalen Hurts then went to ASU. Huge for USF

Barnett would be eligible to play this fall as a graduate transfer. As a redshirt junior, he would still have two seasons of athletic eligibility left.
Barnett was highly recruited coming out of high school and even was the starter for Alabama in their 2016 opener as a freshman before being replaced by Jalen Hurts, who took over as the starter. After losing the job, Barnett announced he would transfer. He picked Arizona State and only threw five passes last season while backing up Manny Wilkins. Todd Graham was the coach when he transferred, and he might not have liked the way things looked under new head coach Herm Edwards, so he announced last month that he would be looking to transfer again.
Now Barnett will hope that USF will give him the home he has long sought. South Florida needs a QB with Quinton Flowers completing his senior season in the fall.
