The football world received some terrible news on Saturday afternoon with the announcement that former NFL and Auburn linebacker, Quentin Groves, had passed away at the age of 32 following a heart attack.
Groves, a first-team All-SEC star in 2006, was selected in the second-round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. In his eight-year NFL career, Groves also played for the Oakland Raiders, Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans and Buffalo Bills.

During the 2008 NFL Combine, while undergoing routine medical testing, it was discovered that Groves suffered from Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, which is a rapid heartbeat condition caused by electrical impulses in the heart taking extra pathways.
Following the news of his untimely and unfortunate passing, several of Groves’ friends and former teammates took to Twitter to express their condolences and grief.
RIP Quentin Groves… speechless. Great dude…. too damn soon.
