The Michigan Wolverines have landed a huge college commitment.
Bryce Underwood, who is the No. 1-ranked quarterback prospect for 2025, has decommitted from LSU in favor of Michigan. Underwood made the announcement via Instagram, where he posted a video along with the caption, “Hometown. Hero.”

Underwood is from Belleville, Mich., which is what makes him a hometown player for the Wolverines.
Underwood had committed to LSU in January and even had been wearing a necklace that had LSU’s logo on it. However, he changed his mind and decided to commit to his hometown team.
Underwood’s announcement comes a day after his high school teammate, Elijah Dotson, flipped his commitment from Pitt to the Wolverines. That seemed to be a sign of what was to come with Underwood.
Underwood, who is listed at 6-foot-4, is the No. 1 player in the 2025 rankings, regardless of position. He is now the highest-rated recruit in Wolverines history.
