Rich Rodriguez shares classy statement after Sumlin hiring
You might expect Rich Rodriguez to be bitter about being fired by Arizona and embroiled in a sexual harassment lawsuit, but he certainly isn’t showing it.
The former Wildcats head coach sent a classy statement on Sunday in which he congratulated Kevin Sumlin for being named the program’s new head football coach:
Congratulations to @UofA and @CoachSumlin. pic.twitter.com/vCGJnZUZU6

Rodriguez coached Arizona for six seasons from 2012-2017. He went 43-35 during his tenure, peaking with a 10-4 season in 2014. He was fired without cause meaning he should receive the remainder of the money he is owed, though he is facing personal problems in the form of a lawsuit from a former employee.
