Spencer Rattler was one of the top recruits in the country before he enrolled at Oklahoma, but his time in Norman did not go as planned. Rattler lost his starting job last season before transferring to South Carolina, and he is clearly using the naysayers to motivate him.
Rattler shared a compilation video on Twitter recently that shows analysts and fans criticizing him. He included a “taking notes” emoji.

Rattler lost his job to Caleb Williams, who has since followed former Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley to USC. Many expected Rattler to become the next Baker Mayfield or Kyler Murray under Riley. That never happened, but he has a good chance to start at South Carolina next season.
You can understand why the pitch Rattler got from South Carolina’s offensive coordinator was effective. The former five-star recruit is determined to prove he can still be a top player at his position.
