TCU’s offensive outburst against Texas Tech last weekend was so unexpected that the school actually ran out of all the fireworks they ordered for the entire season.
Drew Martin, the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Licensing at TCU, sent this tweet on Sunday:
How prolific is @TCUFootball's offense this year? In yesterday's 82-27 romp over Tech, we shot all the pyro we ordered…for the season.

Technically, the school ran out of the fireworks when they got up to 75 points and didn’t have enough for the team’s 10th touchdown of the day.
@AlexAppleDFW My guy radioed me after we hit 68 and said "I only have enough for one more touchdown this season." Then we scored two.

Previously known for being a defensive team under Gary Patterson, this year’s Horned Frogs squad leads the nation at 50.4 points per game. Last year they averaged less than half that at 25.1 points per game, which explains why they ran out of fireworks after just seven games. Maybe they should get in touch with Gilbert Arenas to buy some more.
