Blocked punts don’t get much better than this.
Toledo didn’t take long to score their first points against VMI on Saturday. After a pair of 3-and-outs to start the game, the Rockets forced yet another 3-and-out. Only this time VMI’s punt didn’t go so well as Cody Thompson came in and blocked the punt, caught the ball, and returned it straight into the end zone in one seamless motion to give his team a lead:

Thompson added a 38-yard touchdown catch later in the half to put the Rockets up 42-3. They won the game 66-3, and have a punt return that will go on their end-of-season highlight reel.
