Tom Herman’s wife says LSU fans blew up Texas coach’s phone before game

Tom Herman’s wife does not think all the focus of the fallout from Saturday’s Texas-LSU game should be on the air conditioning matter. She thinks some attention should be paid to the way she claims LSU sabotaged their counterparts by leaking phone numbers.

Herman’s wife Michelle shared a video on Twitter Wednesday of a family member answering a cell phone call that she says came from an LSU fan on Thursday. The Hermans apparently turned the tables on the LSU caller by speaking Spanish to “throw them off” and “just for fun.”

Question @susanloveslsu55 are we allowed to speak Spanish in Louisiana? Asking for myself, b/c next year I’m bringing the whole familia. Can we come to your tailgate Susan? I promise we’ll #dobetter and be #classy pic.twitter.com/Qzse7xMQpN

Michelle Herman claims that LSU leaked the phone numbers of the Texas Longhorns coaches.

No Danny, this was Thursday night. Someone from LSU side leaked coaches numbers and these are the calls we were getting…but you know A/C

Michelle says her husband has since changed his phone number.

No, they called Tom’s number before the game. Coaches numbers leaked by LSU side. We answered in Spanish to throw them off & just for fun His number is changed now.

We had already heard that LSU fans got a hold of Sam Ehlinger’s phone number and bombarded the Texas quarterback’s phone. The same thing apparently happened to Tom Herman.

Not only did LSU win the big game in Austin, but head coach Ed Orgeron caused a stir by saying the air conditioning in the visitor’s locker room was not working. Texas fans were infuriated by that remark and came to the program’s defense, with athletic director Chris Del Conte releasing a statement.
