Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter on Thursday made a very clear statement about his NFL ambitions.
Hunter made clear that he plans to enter the NFL Draft at the end of the season, which is not a surprise. He added, however, that he fully intends to try to play both wide receiver and cornerback at the next level, just as he has at the college level.
Travis Hunter on zoom call says he has every intention of playing both ways in the NFL. And he's definitely entering the draft after this season.

Hunter’s ambition is admirable, but it remains to be seen if any team would allow him to play both ways. It has been done, most famously by Hunter’s college coach Deion Sanders, but it is rare for a reason. The biggest reason has less to do with ability and more to do with minimizing the risk of injury, which is an issue Hunter has dealt with this year. Fortunately, he has yet to encounter anything major.
Hunter has established himself as the Heisman favorite, and he knows it. It will be fascinating to see how NFL teams view him in light of his two-way skillset and how he projects at the next level.
