
Tua Tagovailoa was taken to a hospital in Birmingham, Alabama after suffering a hip injury late in the second quarter of Alabama’s win over Mississippi State on Saturday.
Tagovailoa was in the game with Bama up 35-7 and was rolling to his left. He was taken down by two Bulldogs defenders and injured his hip on the play. It was so bad that Tagovailoa was reported to have been screaming in pain.
The Tuscaloosa News’ Cecil Hurt reported that the Crimson Tide quarterback was taken to a hospital via helicopter.

Tagovailoa was dealing with an ankle injury the past few weeks, but this is completely new. The junior was 14-18 for 256 yards and two touchdowns before exiting.
Bama is 9-1 and faced Western Carolina before their rivalry game against Auburn on November 30.
