UCF says Scott Frost, coaching staff will be paid championship bonuses
The rest of the country may not recognize them as such, but the UCF Knights are going to act like they won the national championship.
After beating Auburn to finish 13-0 despite being excluded from the College Football Playoff, the Knights are pulling out all the stops. They includes raising their own championship banner and holding a parade to honor the team.
Not only that, but they’re putting their money where their mouth is. UCF athletic director Danny White confirmed Wednesday that coach Scott Frost and his staff would be paid their national championship bonuses as well.
Of course we are! That’s what National Championship programs do. Our coaches were informed of that earlier this week. #ChargeOn https://t.co/1iIoVfAnb7

UCF might as well make the most of this. They’ve been quite defiant over the season they’ve had, and rightly so. Alabama or Georgia will win the actual title, but UCF will always have this.
