Saturday’s Ohio State-Michigan battle was an emotional affair, and that was evident in the reaction of Ohio State coach Urban Meyer once it was all over.

When Curtis Samuel scampered into the end zone to clinch the win, Meyer’s reaction was simply to drop to the ground in elation and relief, overcome with emotion.

That’s the rivalry for you. It’s also the relief of surviving such a competitive game and keeping your College Football Playoff hopes alive.

Meyer’s Michigan counterpart was also quite emotional after the game, albeit for an entirely different reason.
