USC WR Ja’Kobi Lane made potential catch of the year on insane TD
USC wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane made an incredible play on Saturday that could easily go down as the catch of the year.
Lane caught a 12-yard touchdown pass from Miller Moss to give USC a lead in the second quarter of the Trojans game against Maryland at SECU Stadium in College Park, Md. With a defender draped all over him, Lane somehow turned his body to make a back-shoulder catch. The sophomore did so using only his left hand and was able to still come down inbounds and complete the catch.
You have to see it to believe it:
Still not over this catch from Ja'Kobi Lane

We thought the catch that Colorado star Travis Hunter made at the start of the season (video here) would be tough to beat, but Lane may have done it.
Unfortunately for Lane, the catch was not enough to lift USC to victory. The Trojans blew a 14-point lead in the fourth quarter and lost 29-28, falling to 3-4 on the season.
