USC’s recruiting class got a huge boost recently when five-star wide receiver Bru McCoy committed to the Trojans, but it sounds like he is having second thoughts.
Adam Maya of TrojanSports.com reports that McCoy is considering transferring from USC to Texas. CFB Home also confirmed the news, noting that McCoy would have to transfer rather than merely flipping his commitment since he has already signed with USC and enrolled in the school.

McCoy originally chose USC over Texas, which was not a surprise given that he played highs school ball at Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei. However, he had to defend himself against critics who said he was making a bad choice given the current state of the Trojans program.
One big thing has changed at USC since McCoy committed, and that is the presence of Kliff Kingsbury. Kingsbury spent a very short time as USC’s offensive coordinator but ended up leaving to take the head coaching job with the Arizona Cardinals. That may be a factor in McCoy potentially transferring.
