Top recruit Bru McCoy responds to haters after committing to USC
Five-star wide receiver recruit Bru McCoy officially committed to USC over the weekend, and some have questioned the decision given the current state of the Trojans’ program. Judging by his reaction, McCoy can’t wait to prove those doubters wrong.
Shortly after he announced he has chosen USC over Texas, McCoy took to Twitter with a message for the haters.
Y’all wait and see if I “waste my talent” let me enjoy my day, hold the hate off for just a little please

Texas is coming off a huge win over Georgia in the Sugar Bowl and appears to be headed toward playoff contention with Sam Ehlinger, while USC is coming off a 5-7 year that led to many calling for head coach Clay Helton to be fired. McCoy played his high school ball at Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei, which has sent many players to USC. That probably played a huge role in his decision.
USC is hoping its latest big coaching staff addition can make a difference, and McCoy wants to make the same type of impact. If you believe in the benefits of having a chip on your shoulder, he’s already off to a good start.
