Polk’s decision comes just half a day after the Huskies lost 34-13 to Michigan in the National Championship Game at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas on Monday night.
Polk has been at Washington the last three seasons after beginning his career at Texas Tech.
Polk was the No. 2 receiving threat for the Huskies this season behind Rome Odunze, who had 92 catches for 1,640 yards and 13 touchdowns in Washington’s high-powered offense. Polk had 69 catches for 1,159 yards and 9 touchdowns.
Polk was particularly heartbroken over Washington’s loss. He was photographed sitting on the field with confetti around following Michigan’s win.
