Will Muschamp does not feel Ryan Hilinski knee injury is severe
Will Muschamp provided an update on the injury status of quarterback Ryan Hilinski following South Carolina’s 20-17 upset win over Georgia in double overtime on Saturday.
Hilinski was knocked out of the game in the third quarter after being hit low just as he released a pass on a third down play. He had already been hobbling on his left knee prior to the pass, so that hit knocked him out for the game. He was replaced by Dakereon Joyner, who helped the team to victory.
After the win, Muschamp said he was not sure about Hilinski’s status, but said they did not feel it was severe. Muschamp added they removed Hilinski because they did not feel the quarterback could move around well enough to protect himself.
Will Muschamp on Ryan Hilinski: "I’m not sure. We will find out more. He was not moving well enough to protect himself. It’s not that we felt like there is any severe injury."
