Ryan Hilinski leaves with left knee injury after roughing the passer hit
South Carolina quarterback Ryan Hilinski left the team’s game against Georgia on Saturday after taking a hit to his left knee in the third quarter.
South Carolina had a third down and set up a screen pass. A Bulldogs defender came in untouched and dove at Hilinski as he released the ball, hitting the quarterback in the leg.

Hilinksi went down and pounded the ground in pain. He had been battling the left knee injury for the entire game prior to the hit. A 15-yard penalty for roughing the passer was called on the play to give the Gamecocks a first down, and Dakereon Joyner entered the game in place of Hilinski.
Hilinski was helped off the field and entered the medical tent for examination.
