Dad arrested for doing 104 mph trying to get kids to soccer game
A dad’s plans to speed so he could get his child and a teammate to their soccer game over the weekend sadly backfired.
41-year-old Juan Carlos Gallegos of Petaluma, CA, was arrested on Saturday morning after police caught him doing 104 mph on a highway. His reason for doing triple digits? He told police he was in a hurry to get the two 9-year-olds in his car to their soccer game so they wouldn’t be late.
Speed Racer was going so fast it took an officer nearly three miles to catch him.
According to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, “Gallegos was arrested on suspicion of reckless driving and child endangerment and booked into Sonoma County Jail. Bail was set at $15,000 and his car was impounded for 30 days.”
LBS writer Del says Gallegos deserves a “Dad of the Year” nomination for his efforts. I say he’s an idiot.
