Dustin Diamond, better known as “Screech” from the 1990s TV show “Saved by the Bell,” spent the weekend in jail after being accused of brandishing a knife and stabbing a man during a bar fight on Christmas.
Screech was in Wisconsin when the alleged incident occurred and apparently is a pretty big Packers fan. How do we know? Well Screech was in jail before posting bail prior to his hearing at Ozaukee County Circuit Court on Monday, and his attorney said the actor was upset about missing the Packers game.
Diamond’s attorney Thomas Alberti said outside the courtroom that “Dustin has complete faith in the justice system,” and added that Diamond was “not happy he missed the Packers game” while in jail.
Screech was born in San Jose, Calif., but lives in Wisconsin, which explains his Packers fandom. We’re guessing he wasn’t too happy about Ndamukong Suh stepping on Aaron Rodgers, assuming that he eventually heard about it.
