The Rock confirms Ronda Rousey will be in Fast & Furious 7

Ronda RouseyA report earlier this week said that Ronda Rousey was in talks to join the cast of “Fast & Furious 7.” Pro wrestler and actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who will star in the movie, essentially confirmed that Rousey will appear in the film.

The Rock gave a Twitter shoutout to Rousey and said the MMA fighter would be joining him in the movie:

Rousey sounded less certain that appearing in the movie was a done deal. She responded by saying she was trying to “make it work”:

In addition to “Fast & Furious 7,” Rousey is set to appear in “The Expendables 3.” Her transition to the movies is not sitting well with many of her fans, who are worried that she might be getting closer to retirement. In fact, Rousey guessed that she might retire from MMA in two years. That news was upsetting to many of her fans, and it led Rousey to defend herself via Twitter on Saturday.

“To everyone giving me s— for”hypothetically retiring”someday-ill retire when I feel like my mark has been made and Im ready to make babies … My best guess was 2-3 years but thats a guess, who knows, the day Im not overjoyed2go2the gym is the day I quit.Could be tomorrow or in 7years …. But ill tell you what,every1 giving me s—4entertaining the idea is expediting it.Im a fighter&always will be,only ill know when its enough … So f— all you hating twitter b—es, have a great time spending the rest of your day seething over my options and choices … And for everyone that has my back and has been supportive through all this. Thank you so much,I can’t explain how much I appreciate you all.”

Rousey always said that she was considering following Gina Carano’s path of transitioning from MMA to the movies, so this should not come as a surprise to anyone.
