Skydiver Felix Baumgartner makes record freefall jump (Video)
Crazy Felix Baumgartner set a world record by jumping from 128,097 above the Earth and breaking the sound barrier in a freefall over New Mexico on Sunday. The daredevil feat was sponsored by Red Bull and aired live online where an approximately 8 million people watched him jump from the stratosphere to Earth — a distance of about 24 miles.

Total time from jump to landing: 9 min. 3 seconds
Freefall duration: 4 min. 19 seconds
Speed: 1137 km per hour
