Aaron Hernandez was reportedly moved to a segregated unit after a prison-made knife was found in his cell.
Sources told Boston’s WHDH 7News’ Cheryl Fiandaca the shank was discovered by guards on Thursday and Hernandez was immediately moved to a segregated unit where prisoners who may be a threat to the rest of the population are held. There is no word on how long Hernandez will remain there.
This wouldn’t be the first time Hernandez has been housed in solitary confinement, nor is it the first time he’s been a problematic inmate. He’s already allegedly beaten up an inmate, threatened to kill a jail officer, and been involved in a prison fight. Perhaps it’s for the best that Hernandez is kept on his own for a while for the good of everyone involved.
