Aaron Rodgers met with the media Tuesday for the first time since joining the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he used the occasion to confirm some major personal news.
Rodgers was asked about the ring that has recently been seen on his finger, and he confirmed that it is a wedding ring. The quarterback offered few details, but said he has been married for “a couple months.”

Speculation about Rodgers’ relationship status started in May, when he looked like he was wearing a wedding ring while attending a Kentucky Derby event. The same ring was spotted on his finger in photos of him signing his contract with the Steelers.
Rodgers said earlier in the offseason that he was dealing with some personal matters, which delayed his decision to sign. Perhaps his new marriage was one of them. The quarterback appears to prefer to remain tight-lipped on the details for now, as it is not even known who he had been dating most recently.
Rodgers agreed to sign with the Steelers last week and is already in minicamp with the team. His bonus-laden contract will be a bargain for Pittsburgh if he can play at a high level.
