Aaron Rodgers appeared to take shot at Russell Wilson after the Green Bay Packers defeated the Seattle Seahawks 27-17 on Sunday night.
Rodgers, who was 25 of 33 for 249 yards and two touchdowns in the win, spoke to the media after the game and thanked a higher power for the victory.
“God was a Packer fan tonight,” said Rodgers. “He was taking care of us.”
Rodgers was trying to hide a grin as he made his religious references and could barely contain himself.
So what leads us to believe he was taking a shot at Wilson? Remember the interview the Seahawks quarterback gave immediately after beating the Packers in the NFC Championship Game in January? Watch this to refresh your memory. Wilson infamously cried and wailed about how great God is.
Yeah, I’d say Rodgers was definitely getting revenge. Just remember, Rodgers loves jabbing opposing teams and players in subtle ways like this.
