Adam Gase not embarrassed by loss to pathetic Dolphins
The New York Jets are 1-7, and coach Adam Gase suffered the shame of being the first team to fall to defeat against the Miami Dolphins, the team that fired him.
All of this seems like a major source of embarrassment for the first year head coach, but apparently, to him, it isn’t.
“It’s the NFL,” Gase said after Sunday’s loss, via Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. “You can’t be embarrassed by this s–t.”
Well, actually, you can — and you probably should be. The Dolphins had only come close in one other game and they beat the Jets by eight points. The Jets are lucky not to be winless at this point, and the return of Sam Darnold hasn’t been nearly as helpful to the offense as he might’ve hoped. There doesn’t look to be much reason for optimism at this point.
On top of the bad play, reports indicate that Gase is in danger of losing his players. He looks and sounds like a dead man walking just eight games into his Jets career.
