Adrian Peterson: Michael Vick would make Vikings a playoff team
The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to release Michael Vick at some point in the coming days, which will make him one of the most intriguing names on the free agent market. Vick said after the season that he “very badly” wants another chance to start, and we’d be surprised if some team didn’t at least give him a shot in training camp. Could the Minnesota Vikings be that team?
If Adrian Peterson gets his way, that would be a possibility. Peterson took to Twitter on Wednesday to lobby for his team to sign Vick.

We’re assuming he meant “instantly.” That can’t make Christian Ponder feel all that good about himself, but we all know he has limited ability. Vick is prone to making mistakes and has not been able to protect the football over the past couple of seasons, yet he remains a player who could be worth gambling on. There’s no denying he has game-changing ability.
Peterson will turn 29 later this month. There were already rumors about him being traded last season as Minnesota played its way to a 5-10-1 record. AP is one of the greatest running backs to ever play the game, and he deserves a shot at a championship. Expect the Vikings to at least pretend they’re listening if he is serious about wanting Vick as a teammate.
