Report: Adrian Peterson’s visit with Saints went well

Adrian Peterson

Adrian Peterson remains unsigned, but it’s possible that he is getting closer to finding a home.

The free agent running back visited with the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday, and it went well, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.

Adrian Peterson leaves the #Saints without a deal… tonight. But the visit went well, the two sides will keep talking.

— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) April 12, 2017

Peterson has taken free agent visits to Seattle and New England in addition to New Orleans. The Seahawks decided to sign Eddie Lacy at running back, while the Patriots did not offer Peterson a contract, and some reports said he was worked out as a favor.

The Saints already have Mark Ingram under contract, so it’s unclear how Peterson would fit in with the Saints if signed.
