AJ Green reportedly expected to be out until December
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver AJ Green will not need to undergo surgery for the foot injury he is dealing with, but the star wide receiver could still be sidelined for quite some time.
Reports have indicated that Green will miss at least two games, with the first coming on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. However, ESPN’s Adam Schefter has been told he could be out until December.
All along, Bengals' WR A.J. Green was going to miss at least two games with his foot injury. But it would not be a surprise if Green were not back until December, per sources. A December return for Green is looking increasingly likely.

With the Bengals 5-3 and fighting to win the AFC North, that timeline is obviously less than ideal. Their offense is infinitely better with Green on the field, and they don’t have anyone in the passing game capable of making plays the way he does on a regular basis.
For what it’s worth, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media said Sunday that the Bengals have not ruled out the possibility of Green playing next week.
#Bengals WR AJ Green is out today and likely out next week vs. #Ravens, sources say, tho Cincy knows how tough he is so there is a chance. Two names to watch to take his targets: WR Auden Tate, who catches everything and will get a bunch of snaps, and underrated TE CJ Uzomah.

Green has 687 yards receiving this year and was on pace for yet another 1,000-yard season, which would be his seventh in eight NFL seasons. His foot injury has been troublesome enough that he had to see a specialist, so the Bengals will continue to hope for the best as he rehabs.
