Andrew Luck taking it slowly in concussion recovery

Andrew Luck

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck understands the importance of taking it slow when coming back from a concussion.

Luck, who is likely to play Monday according to coach Chuck Pagano, is willing to be patient and heed the doctors in returning from his first career concussion.

“You have to be prudent with your brain,” Luck said, via Mike Wells of ESPN. “Cautious maybe is the wrong word, but I think you have to do things by the book, and I do believe I have and our trainers and doctors have done a great job of informing me and sort of holding my hand per se along this trip.”

Colts owner Jim Irsay has, in the past, said Luck needs to change some things to stay healthier. He wasn’t referring to head injuries, but you have to wonder if suffering one will change the quarterback’s outlook a bit.
