Cincinnati Bengals fans are going to miss Andy Dalton more than they ever have before.
The fifth-year pro left Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers early in the first quarter after suffering a fracture in his right thumb (it happened on this play). Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said after the game that Dalton will be “out for a bit” with the injury.

Former Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron is the team’s backup QB. He went 22-of-32 for 280 yards, two touchdowns and two picks in the defeat. Sunday marked the most action he’d seen in the NFL since being drafted by the Bengals last year.
The Bengals are now 10-3 and have a two-game lead over the Steelers in the AFC North. They are at the 49ers and then at the Broncos in their next two games.
