Andy Reid leaves door open for Eric Berry to make season debut Thursday
Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry is inching closer to a return, and it could come as soon as Thursday.
Coach Andy Reid said Monday that the star safety is being treated as day-to-day at this point, and there is a chance that he could make his season debut Thursday night against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Andy Reid says “there’s a chance” Eric Berry plays Thursday night. “Killing him” that he’s not been able to play. Reid says they’re “literally taking it day by day.”

It has been reported that Berry is likely in line for a season debut Thursday, but the Chiefs don’t want to rush things, especially with the playoffs in their future. He’s been practicing as he comes back from his heel injury, and it sounds like the return will be coming any week now.
