Antonio Brown will reportedly be 100 percent healthy for Steelers’ playoff game

The Pittsburgh Steelers are taking advantage of their bye week and expect to be at full strength for next weekend’s playoff game, and that means Antonio Brown will be back on the field.

Brown, who has not played since Dec. 17 as he recovers from a calf injury, is “definitely” going to play in the divisional round of the playoffs and will be 100 percent healthy, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

“I’m told Antonio Brown is going to be 100 percent as he recovers from this calf strain,” Rapoport said Sunday. “He actually would have been able to play (Sunday) if the Steelers were playing. He’s definitely going to be able to play next week. The Steelers have not always had their big three stars healthy and together for playoff games, but no worries here.”

Aside from a vague update Brown provided about the the injury on Twitter, it’s unclear what the exact extent of it is. Mike Tomlin described the injury as a “significant contusion” while some reports called it a minor tear of Brown’s calf muscle.

The important thing for the Steelers is that Brown has made good progress with his recovery. Ben Roethlisberger needs his favorite receiver for the postseason.
