Antonio Brown has now lost two grievances he filed against the NFL in an attempt to continue wearing the same model helmet he has worn throughout his entire career, and the star wide receiver is finally ready to give up the fight.
In an appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio Sunday, Brown’s agent Drew Rosenhaus confirmed the latest grievance “did not go our way.” He also said Brown is finally ready to move forward and accept the results.

While Brown can no longer wear the helmet he has worn for nine years, he did manage to parlay the situation into a new endorsement deal.
“On the bright side, as a result of all the publicity that has accrued from our efforts to get him to wear that helmet, he has multiple offers on the table right now from various helmet companies to custom make a helmet for him and pay him quite a bit of money,” Rosenhaus said. “Antonio will be wearing an approved helmet. He won’t miss any time, and he will be getting paid a lot of money to do so.”
Rosenhaus added that Brown is “totally focused” on the upcoming season, though it would be hard to argue that has been the case for the veteran receiver all offseason. Between the helmet drama and the nasty blisters Brown has been dealing with on his feet, it’s hard to imagine Brown has solely been focused on mastering the Oakland Raiders’ offense.
Brown has supposedly frustrated the Raiders in a variety of ways in his first offseason with the team, so perhaps the helmet issue finally being put behind him will make a big difference. At the very least, the questions about it should dry up in the near future.
